This was the sixth album by the Damned released on the MCA Label in July 1985, probably around the time you were celebrating your 40th birthday.
The story goes that there was lots of wrangling with MCA before they finally did the deal for the Phantasmagoria Album.
Obviously it saw quite a shift in style with the influence of the two new members probably playing a part too.
Often described as”Gothic” in style largely because of Vanian’s deep voice on many of the tracks.
This was to become the bands highest charting Album ever at number 11, only to have that stripped by Evil Spirits in 2018.
